bioX The model

Terms

Last changed 18 September 2026. Short on purpose: you should be able to read all of it.

What this is

bioX runs research models on DNA. They are not medical devices, not diagnostic tests, and not a source of medical advice. A placement, a likelihood or a generated sequence is a model's output, and models are wrong regularly enough that every result carries the version that produced it so you can check it later.

What you may not do with it

Your sequences

Sequences you send are used to compute the answer and are not stored. We keep a line per call saying which key it was, when, and how long the sequence was, because a service with no record of its own load cannot be kept running honestly. We do not sell anything, and there is nothing to sell: access is granted on request, never bought.

Limits and interruptions

A key is rate limited, 600 calls an hour unless we agreed otherwise with you. Models change as they train, and an answer today may differ from the same call tomorrow — that is what the version stamp is for. This is a small operation; it can be down.

No warranty

The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for what is done with an output. If that is not acceptable for your work, do not use it for that work.

Reaching us

Through the request form. A person reads it.
